Exclusive Q&A with the Showrunner of it

<applause>
Thank you everyone. We're happy to be here and we know you are too. And now for our final guest of the evening panel. It's our great pleasure to introduce Rorfer Jufbort! He's the showrunner of it.

Rorfer:
Thanks Greb. What an amazing night. Am I right? Let’s hear it for them! I have to admit it’s a little surreal to be here. When I was a young person I never thought I would be here and now I am. Now let’s get to the Q&A. Yeah you over there, whatever, hi.

Question:
Um, hi. I’m a little nervous.

<laughter>

Rorfer:
That’s ok! So am I!

<laughter>

Rofer (continued):
Ok next question.

Question:
Hi Rofman, I just wanted to know what it’s like to adapt such a huge project as this.

Rofjerj:
Well I’ll tell you, it’s pretty surreal. When I was a young person I never thought I would be here and now I am. Now let’s get to the Q&A. Yeah you over there, whatever, hi.

Question:
How did you manage to fit 14 books into a single TV adaptation? This seems like a huge undertaking.

Rofjer:
Yeah well that’s the thing of it, right? You know, I’m gonna be honest here, our job is to be fans first, filmmakers second. So I asked myself, “What would I want to see on the screen?” That’s why when tackling a series like this you have to make sacrifices. We basically rewrote the entire fucking thing how I wanted and then made that.

Question:
Talk a little bit about your process. What’s the first thing you and your writers do when it’s time to get together in the writer’s room and sit in the writer’s room and lob ideas back and forth in the writer’s room where you sit in chairs and look at whiteboards in the writer’s room? Writer’s room. Writing happens in the room. That’s the room where the magic happens.

Rojae:
Love this question, thanks for asking it. Yeah so basically we come into the writer’s room which is awesome. We have a bunch of creative people, I mean seriously folks, can we get a hand for my team? We pulled it off. Next question.

Panel Q&A We faked the moon landing
Azure DevOps

Let's discuss CI/CD best practices.

Question:
I noticed in Scene 4A of Episode 5 of Season 1, 13:35, Ramd Al’rhtor says “There isn’t time, Mart, we have to get to Taf vAllarn,” what was going through Rander’s mind at this point?

Rofman:
This is something we agonized over in the writer’s room, believe me. Jinnesy, she’s our head writer. She hasn’t read the books so she comes to this project with fresh eyes, and I think that’s really important. Her last project was the last project she did. She balances out my inner fanboy haha

<laughter>

Rofma:
Yeah so she was just like “Guys we need to wrap this up. I haven’t seen my family in 18 months. My oldest graduated high school and I missed it.” That hit us pretty hard. So I fired her and just wrote the god damn thing however I wanted because I’m the main man. I’m the showrunner. Me. I can do what I want. I’m pretty proud of that scene. Thanks for noticing that detail.

Question:
There are a lot of changes in the show and I understand things have to be streamlined, but why did you change big stuff?

Rorfer:
Uh oh, we have a real-life Instagram comment!

<laughter>

Rogfjan (continued):
Fuck you. Just go fuck yourself. Fuck off you fuck. This is my show you understand? I call the shots. I run this ship. Next qejsiton.

Question:
I like how you changed literally everything and wrote whatever the hell you felt like. I liked that the end of season 1 was nothing like the book and you made it better. You took the book and were like “We’re not doing that.” Talk a little bit about the thought process here.

Roffer:
I’m a huge fan of these books. I grew up with them. So I wanted to honor the incredibly rich and huge world that Romber Jrarffmen created. I actually commanded everyone on set to carry their personal copy around and anytime we had a question my go-to reply was always “Ok well let’s look at the book. Crack it open you shit. See how everything is carefully laid out, plotted down to the finest detail, and just works really well? Yeah we’re gonna do something different.” And then we did. We did it my way. It’s better. My way is better. The execs at Amzmmzon were like “here’s more money.”

Question:
Season 4 when? When is it? When do we get more? I need more. More content for me. I must have it.

Roffofmjajfemfmer:
We’re in talks now. Talks are happening. We’re taking meetings and having talks. I will say one thing: this is my show. I do it the way I want. I’ll change every god damn storyline I want just because I can. Do you have any idea how rich I am now? We're uncancel-able.

Ok that’s all the time we have for now for us for this for it to be had for it. We’d like to thank Amanerzon Partners Co Unlimited and Shell Oil Manufacturing for sponsoring this event. Are you doing your part to reduce carbon waste emissions exhaust fumes? It’s all on you. It’s your responsibility. Paper straws. It’s your fault. Blame the consumer. You’re bad.
